Dear Birth Parent(s),

We want to thank you for this moment in time that you are taking to consider us as possible adoptive parents for your child. We are hopefully nearing the end of a long journey filled with prayer, hope and faith. Our desire is that these words will help you in your decision and are filled with gratitude and admiration at your strength and unselfishness that have led you to be considering us.

Our names are Mike and Lana. We have been married for eleven years and have two wonderful boys- Eli and Ethan. We have been blessed by so many things and try to keep the importance of God and family in our lives. Life is best at it's simplest in the things we do each day. From a walk on our property thru the fields and trees to bike rides on the road or to visiting a neighbor we try to do things to enjoy and strengthen our family.

We know we have already been granted a blessing with our two boys but we would like to add to our family. Lana has experienced several complications during her two pregnancies and it is too big a risk for her health to become pregnant again. Mike is adopted and so an addition to our family by adoption would be an awesome blessing and make our family even stronger.

We want you to know that your child will be raised in a home full of love, caring, excitement and joy. We will have no secrets and your child will know of his/her mother and the love and respect we have for you from the very beginning. We take lots of pictures and video so you will be able to see your child and be comforted in the decision you have made.

We have many pets and love and enjoy them all. We were each raised on a farm and animals were a big part of our upbringing. We feel pets can teach a child responsibility and also give them something to show love and kindness to that will love them unconditionally in return. Our boys love to go out and play with and take care of the animals. We have 4 goats which will have babies in the spring, a dog, 4 cats, chickens and 2 ducks. We hopefully will add 2 baby calves soon and Eli is hoping for a rabbit. Our dog loves and protects our boys and makes sure she is with them all the time. Because of our families love for animals, we often visit zoos and think about what fun it would be to own all the animals there.

Lana is an emergency room nurse and Mike is a firefighter so both jobs require being in a position to help people. Lana has a big heart and loves her family so much and Mike is excited to come home from work and spend time with the family. Lana works one day each week and Mike works every third day and because of these work hours one of us is always at home with the children. Also due to our different work hours, we have decided and already started to home school our children. This enables us to have more family time and share many more experiences together. One of our other passions that we have is teaching children and so we both teach bible study to children on Wednesday nights. Mike teaches 5th grade boys and Lana teaches 1st grade boys. Combining this with our involvement in teaching children and attending church only a mile down the road means we have lots of family time!

We hope that these words will warm your heart and we would like to talk with you in person so you will be assured and comforted about your decision.
